Due: Determination of LPLC and selection of Curriculum Strand: Three or more colleagues in your local educational community who will partner with you to create a Local Professional Learning Community. If you are already part of a LPLC, determine a way that you can enhance what already exists.
As a leader, work with the LPLC to identify a curriculum strand that needs improvement or enhancement OR present your findings to your LPLC of a curriculum strand that should be targeted after reviewing sate and national standards

Chapter 7 - What are the Gaps and What Are the Root Causes of the Gaps? These are the details for PLC to explore and to determine the resource needs to assist in student learning.
Chapter 8 - How Can We Get to Where We Want to Be? Notice the observable and measurable aspects of the plan in Figure 8.1

Chapter 9 (MS/HS)/10(Elem) - Conclusions and Recommendations
Discussion Demographics, Student Perception, and Student Learning data of your class.
Build (or finish building) spreadsheet for gathering/entering demographic data on your students in your class from your integrated unit (gender, ethnicity, free & reduced lunch, identified disability, ELL, G/T, Title IA, learning styles and grade level if appropriate).
In-class work session - Start Classroom Profile. Analyze (count, percentage) demographic data of your class and create the Demographic section (including charts/tables, graphs, and narratives) of your Classroom Profile

Read:Using Data to Improve Student Learning chapter 9 for MS and HS, chapter 10 for elementary
Due: Gather at least ten web resources that specifically address the target curriculum strand.

Due: Gather class demographics (where possible without violating FERPA total number of students in class, grade level,gender, ethnicity, free & reduced lunch, identified disability, ELL, G/T, Title IA, learning styles--start putting the information in a spreadsheet and start to create your Class Data Profile
